The Recycling/Education team work closely with Leicester city residents and community groups.
The team is keen to work with residents on a more local level, and are available to attend any local meetings that have a community focus, such as:
The purpose of getting involved with such events and attending local meetings is to put a face to the service and be a point of contact for residents if they have any issues regarding the services. All issues will be addressed and dealt with immediately.
Attending local meetings/ events is also a way of raising awareness and educating residents about recycling.
If you are a member of a community group/association and would like a member of the team to attend your next meeting to give a talk on recycling or even provide an article for a community based publication (newsletters, papers etc) please contact us and a member of our team will come back to you.
Alternatively, if there is a group of 15+ residents and you would like to arrange a visit to the recycling plant, contact us and a member of the team will come back to you to arrange a suitable day and time.
NB Due to large numbers of requests, we ask that visits are limited to Leicester City residents only.
